Barbara L. O’Brien, RN, MSN, Certified, is the President of Magnetic HealthCare Strategies, LLC. Barbara brings a wealth of experience to the company which was founded in 2001. She was the Chief Nursing Officer and Vice President, Patient Care Services at St. Joseph’s Hospital and Medical Center in Paterson, NJ. She was responsible for 681 acute beds, a budget of $92M, and more than 1400 employees. Prior to that, she was the Assistant Vice President of Nursing and Chief Nursing Officer at Beth Israel Medical Center, North Division, New York City, NY. In that capacity, Barbara was responsible for 229-acute care beds and merged a community and a teaching hospital into a multi-hospital system.
