Countdown to
Launch!
Just like NASA's Mission Control Center, you have
researched, prepared, checked and rechecked all of
The Joint Commission standards to be ready for
certification. But one more item, "Patient
Safety," still has to be reviewed and
documented before you can begin the official
countdown.
Ask yourself: "Is my field staff educated so they
understand that patient safety is the number-one
priority in a hospital? Do I have the tools to help them
make this happen?
Read on
so you will never have to hear - "Houston, we have a
problem!"
*JCAHO has changed their name to
The Joint Commission
(TJC). | |
| Getting Ready For Take Off
One of the items The Joint
Commission reviewer will be focusing on is that your
agency provides qualified and competent staff to deliver
safe, high-quality care to patients in health care
organizations. It is important that you can
demonstrate that you are fully meeting the health care
quality and safety needs for which you are responsible.
Are you up-to-date on the National Patient
Safety Goals?
Do you have a program to educate your staff
on patient safety?
Agencies are not only expected to keep up
with the changing guidelines, but also demonstrate
improvements on a variety of performance
measures.
10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5,4, 3, 2, ARE
YOU READY?
|
| Destination:
Certification is Within Your Reach with
Magnetic HealthCare Strategies (MHS)
Are you ready to demonstrate
that you are committed to continuous monitoring and
improving business practices, not just supplying health
care professionals? If so, we have the tools and
know-how to make it happen.
We can:
- Provide you and your staff with an information
packed Powerpoint presentation on the National Patient
Safety Goals
- Create a plan for developing patient safety
guidelines
- Develop a program to educate clinical field
staff
No matter which road you choose, we can assist you
with your commitment to a higher standard of service.
Patient safety is the last item on your check-off
list before takeoff. Once that's done, you're ready for
lift off and your destination reached -- Certification
by The Joint Commission.
We're always here to help you on your journey,
before, during, and after certification.
Remember, The Joint Commission will be back for
unannounced periodic performance reviews, and we
