Text Box: Peter’s Big Day
There comes a time in every panda’s life when want and desires are replaced with things you have to do and today was that type of event. Peter wasn’t feeling well. He felt like his tummy was a ship rocking up and down on stormy waters. His Mom and Dad took him to the Children’s Hospital to see Dr. Buccaneer. The doctor found a tiny tree branch was making Peter’s tummy feel yucky.
Peter and his Panda parents asked, “ What happens if you have a tree branch stuck in your tummy?”
“ We need to send you to the Panda Bear Clinic to get the branch out,” said the nurse.
“What’s that?,” the Panda family asked all together. Peter nervously looked around the room and pictured a Panda Bear Clinic where all the Panda Bears look just like him. “I may get lost in the crowd,” he worried.
With a soothing smile the nurse explained that Panda Bear Clinics are where panda bears and kids go when they don’t feel well . “It is a neat place where children are special and nurses assist doctors in making everybody feel happy. They may be in a hospital, at your doctor’s office or even at your school. “
“Panda Bear Clinics have all the important things Panda’s need to get better. There are Band-Aids, tubes for special water, and cups for Panda bears and kids to have flavored juice. Will it be yummy in my tummy Peter laughed? Yes it will be and there will be Panda Bear toys for you to play with, “ continued the nurse.
	“Wow!” Peter exclaimed getting excited.
“You will sail on your bed to meet Dr. Buccaneer through magical doors that open and close all by themselves. It will be just like an exciting pirate dream. “
“But I don’t have any pirate clothes!” worried Peter.
“When you, your nurse friends, and your parents go into a special room with Dr. Buccaneer, you will wear a Text Box: Dear Kids and Colleagues,

“Will my treasures inside my tummy be safe? Will the pirate story have a happy ending?” Peter asked.
But the nurse kept talking, “Please remember to tell everyone what you are feeling. You might have a stomach ache or just not feel good. This is okay. You have to tell all the pirates on the Text Box: treasure hunt if you feel good or bad. You can also ask questions if you are worried or don’t understand. You can always ask questions on a treasure hunt.”
“ When you are awake and feel good friends will come to see you, and you will get lots presents.”
Peter liked the idea of getting presents and seeing his friends.
“ Finally your special journey will be over and you return to your home port again with the nurses as their special pandystripper.”
“So it will have a HAPPY ENDING!!!!” Peter exclaimed.
And the nurse smiled, “Yes, it will have a HAPPY ENDING.”
